RETREAT INFO: Peniche, just 1 hour north of Lisbon, is one of the world’s top surfing destinations. The peninsula town offers perfect sand-bottomed beachbreaks for all skill levels beginner-advanced and a different surf spot to cooperate with every possible wind direction. In other words, you’re GUARANTEED to score fun waves in Peniche. Not to mention Portugal has some of the best seafood in the world! SurfsUpNY instructors Peter Shaw & Sean O’Connor have spent the last 4 winters surfing here and dialing in the best surf spots in the area. We’ll partner will local pro surf coaches as well. We’ll surf the Peniche/Baleal area and will road trip 45mins down to Ericeira which is another of the country’s top surfing towns. The retreat will include a spa day at the nearby Marriott in Praia Del Rey (right near another famous surf break). We’ll be staying walking distance from the waves, and we’ll have a van to shuttle you to/from different surfing breaks.
